Venosa (Venusia) - Masseria Tripputi (Ad Pinum)

next

Venosa (*), the ancient Venusia, is still full of remains of the Roman and medieval ages.

Via Appia goes long the imposing building of the Abbey of the Holy Trinity, unfinished piece of work dating back to the XII century, and heads towards the plain of Cammera.

It then crosses some torrents, and long a sheep-track, goes under the town of Palazzo San Gervasio to reach what probably was the statio Ad Pinum, today known as Masseria Tripputi, under the isolated Mount Serico (542 m)

(*) Venosa (Venusia) is worth a visit.
