Via Appia        Segment 7        from km 48,8 to km 57,7

Junction via Ninfina (Tres Tabernae) - Tor Tre Ponti (Tripontium)

next

This specific segment is not in itself of any particular historical-archaeological interest, unlike the three areas of Ninfa, Norma and Valvisciolo (*), which are nearby the axle of via Appia and are worth a visit.

----------

(*) Ninfa, an 8 km distant medieval town now completely deserted, is in the middle of an immense garden of water and flowers.

Norma, the ancient Norba, is 16 km far from via Appia and still offers to the sight of visitors the vestiges of the acropolis, of the walls and of the ancient Roman street.

The Abbey of Valvisciolo, at 10 km of distance, was built in the XII and still preserves a magnificent cloister.
